How independent lifestyle support services work
Before moving into your retirement Living Plus property you’ll be offered a confidential wellbeing assessment. That means, if needed, your support package will be there from the moment you move in.
- Personalised support is available 24 hours a day every day of the year.
- Selected services are available in 15-minute increments.
- You can have as much support as you need, when you need it.
- The level of service can go up and down – so, for instance, you may need extra help if you are ill, which will stop when you feel better.
- Your care will be regularly reviewed to ensure it meets your needs.
- You only pay for the services you use.
Person-centred care from people you know and trust
The caring teams are dedicated to you and your development, meaning you’ll build strong relationships with them.
- They have a genuine understanding of your needs, will listen and can adapt services with you.
- They are specifically trained to be able to respond quickly to a medical emergency – and the 24/7 emergency call system in your apartment gives you the peace of mind knowing help is there is you need it.
- Services are regulated by the Care Quality Commission in England (in Scotland and Wales the care regulator is the Care Inspector)
