- Remaining as the managing agent on all McCarthy & Stone developments built post 2010. This means they are responsible for ongoing care, support and maintenance of the development
- Remaining as the landlord, meaning they take decisions in the long-term interests of their residents
- Offering an in-house Resale service to support customers and their families at every stage of their journey
These improvements mean that the resale performance of McCarthy & Stone's managed developments built since 2010 is positive. c.70% see a net increase on resale, and independent research by the Elderly Accommodation Counsel (EAC) in 2019 confirmed that new retirement properties typically increase in value.
Since launching McCarthy & Stone Resales in 2017, the team have successfully sold more than 500 managed properties, seeing a c.4% net price increase per sale for an average resale. Despite a challenging property market McCarthy & Stone Resales has had a positive impact on the lives of our customers and their families looking to sell apartments.
